In Exodus 19:11-13, God said anyone who touched Mt Sinai would be put to death, but then He commanded them to come near the mountain. What a dilemma! They had to obey by drawing near, but must not get too close or they’d be killed. How near is near? The quandary has been satisfied in the cross.
