It's amazing how fast my heart can go its way into cynicism, critique, and callousness when I'm not intentional about engaging with Jesus. Consistent tenderness towards people (power to view them by grace, not primarily by their deficiencies) comes through intimacy with Jesus. The only way to become the best versions of ourselves is to live according to how we were made to run: fueled by the affections of Christ. -David Sliker
