The OT prophets, the Olivet Discourse, and Revelation present a consistent pattern: 

(1) this present age gives way to 

(2) a global Day of the Lord, 

(3) that Day culminates in Messiah’s coming to earth, and 

(4) His appearing establishes His kingdom over the nations.
