When Paul warns Gentile Christians, "Do not boast against the branches," he is specifically speaking about the Jewish branches broken off because of unbelief (Romans 11:17–20). That is such an important point. Their unbelief is the very reason he commands us to remain humble. He goes further and warns that if we become arrogant toward unbelieving Israel, we risk also being cut off. To those of us who are, by His grace, believers, that point should be terrifying. - Joel Richardson
