The One who came down in a cloud and fire, with an earthquake and trumpets on Sinai is coming back on the clouds, in fire, with a mighty earthquake, at the sound of the trumpet, in the glory of His Father with all His holy ones, to deliver His people and crush His enemies...  -Joel Richardson

Our clinging to the opinions of others reveals how superficial we are. We have little to stand on. We have to be kept alive by adulation and praise. Those who are deeply rooted in the love of God can enjoy human praise without being attached to it. -Henri Nouwen

In religion, you obey because God is useful. In Christianity, you obey because God is beautiful. -Timothy Keller

The return of the King and the establishment of His Kingdom is the primary focal point of the entire Bible. Peter said it was the ultimate focus of the prophets, calling it, “the period of restoration of all things about which God spoke by the mouth of His holy prophets.” Acts 3:21 This is also why the cry of the early believers was not simply “Hallelujah” (Praise the Lord), but also, “Maranatha!” (Come Lord Jesus!). Today the Church has largely forgotten the Maranatha cry... but the days ahead will be defined by the Church joining with the Holy Spirit, yay with all of creation, in reclaiming, recovering, and letting the Maranatha cry ring out from every hill and every mountaintop once again. -Joel Richardson

"Whoever humbles himself like this child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven.” Matthew 18:4. The fact that thousands will be “greatest” does not mean Jesus is careless with his superlatives, but that heaven has capacities of honor we do not know. -John Piper

Because in Jesus God became human, he is not only the God on the other side of the chasm, he is the bridge over the gap. -Timothy Keller

Kings lead their nation to military victories. If you’ve been made a king to God (Revelation 1:6), your ambition is to accomplish great victories and lay the plunder at Jesus’ feet. -Bob Sorge

While other worldviews lead us to sit in the midst of life’s joys, foreseeing the coming sorrows, Christianity empowers its people to sit in the midst of this world’s sorrows, tasting the coming joy.  -Timothy Keller

Moses as the great deliverer and legislature, Aaron as the priest, Joshua as faithful receiver, Gideon as the destroyer of their enemies, David as their king on Mount Zion, all foreshadowed HE who will fill all of their offices, without any of their weaknesses! Maranatha! -Joel Richardson

“‘Behold, the days are coming,’ declares the LORD, ‘When I will raise up for David a righteous Branch; And He will reign as king and act wisely and do justice and righteousness IN THE LAND.’” (Jeremiah 23:5)

Jesus will rule as King over Israel not from heaven, but “in the land.”
-Joel Richardson

It is no coincidence that the return to Premillennialism in the 1800s accompanied a great surge in global and frontier missions. As it was in the apostolic period, so it was in the 1800s, and will be again in these last days. Eschatology absolutely matters. -Joel Richardson

During the age of redemption, the wolf and the lamb will eat together. The serpent, however, will forever lick the dust: “The wolf and the lamb will graze together, and the lion will eat straw like the ox; and dust will be the serpent’s food" (Is 65:25). -Joel Richardson

Revival does not mean that "everyone is saved"; historically and Biblically it means that "everyone is decided". It is the removal of neutrality and passivity by the power of the Holy Spirit by which everyone sets their heart for or against the God of Israel and His people. -David Sliker

Believing in universal moral truths can be used to oppress others. But what if that absolute truth is a man who died for his enemies, who did not respond in violence with violence but forgave them? - Timothy Keller

Abortion is the Antichrist's demonic parody of the Eucharist. That's why it uses the same holy words, "This is my body," with the blasphemous opposite meaning. —Peter Kreeft
