See, I will create new heavens and a new earth. The former things will not be remembered, nor will they come to mind. Isaiah 65:17

Looking forward to the grinding mortality of this age becoming a distant and fading memory. - John Harrigan

“And the streets of the city shall be full of boys and girls playing in its streets” (Zechariah 8:5).

The prophetic vision of ultimacy is not robed choirs up in the clouds but, among other glories, kids playing tag in the streets. Heaven will be human. And I can’t wait. -Ray Ortlund

Be subject for the Lord's sake to every human institution, whether it be to the emperor as supreme, or to governors as sent by him... 1 Peter 2:13

Seems the insubordinate spirit rampant today is due largely to the lack of apocalyptic hope in the coming "day of visitation" (v12) Jesus said, My kingdom is not of this world. If it were, my servants would fight to prevent my arrest (John. 18:36) Jesus’ kingdom is not FROM (Gk. Genitive suggests source or origin, not ownership) this world.

If we imagine that His kingdom comes from here, then we will fight. -Bill Scofield

Then he appeared to more than five hundred brothers at one time, most of whom are still alive, though some have fallen asleep.

The resurrection means we’ll become like him. -Dan DeWitt

The cross is not the symbol through which the Church should conquer the world. It is not the symbol we place upon our shields and swords. Rather it is the example, the model, and the pattern for how we should live. Further it is a prophecy of what our corporate future holds. - Joel Richardson

Once you make up your mind that, by the grace of God, sin isn’t having any more dominion over you, that besetting sin — take it to the cross, get it nailed there; and day by day draw the supply of grace and victory — then it’s possible to have victory. - Leonard Ravenhill

The foundation to growing in a life of prayer is realizing that you are already joined to Him. You’re not trying “get somewhere.” You are on a journey of waking up to where you already are. - Corey Russell

God is not in covenant with America, but He is in covenant with Israel, and with those who believe in the sacrifice of His Son. - Bob Sorge

Blessed be the name of the LORD from this time forth and forever.

From the rising of the sun to its setting the name of the LORD is to be praised.

The LORD is high above all nations; His glory is above the heavens.

Who is like the LORD our God, who is enthroned on high

Psalm 113:3-5

If we lived and moved and had our being in the light of the Judgment Seat, it would change us, curb our lips, it would change our lifestyle, it would altar our values. We don’t live there! Why should the world believe what we say, when we don’t believe what God has said? -Leonard Ravenhill

Perceiving then that they were about to come and take him by force to make him king, Jesus withdrew again to the mountain by himself. John 6:15

Jesus wasn't opposed to the kingship, just the means of installation.

The kingdom comes by means of angels and fire, not fallen men.

-John Harrigan

“Let grace come and this world pass away. Hosanna to the God of David. If anyone is holy let him come; if he is not, let him repent. Maranatha. Amen.” —The Didache

In Luke 6:20-36 today

Hard to miss how paralyzing the thought of being poor, hungry, weeping, being hated, insulted, and scorned is for many Western disciples of Jesus right now.

We need to come back to the Rabbi and sit at his feet again.

Christ became a servant to the circumcised to show God's truthfulness, in order to confirm the promises given to the patriarchs Romans 15:8

The reason I love the study of messianic prophecy, it’s not for its apologetic value, rather in these prophetic promises are the purest expression of the story of our redemption that has been in God‘s mind and heart from the beginning. - Joel Richardson

What I believe as a Christian was utterly ridiculous until the living Christ emerged from His tomb.

His victory over death makes everything about the Christian faith rational and beautiful.

If He rose, so shall I, and everything else that I believe proceeds from there. - David Sliker

“They do not cry to me from the heart, but they wail upon their beds.” Hosea 7:14 There is a world of difference between the tears of repentance toward God, and the tears of regret for the consequences of sin. -John Piper

Our lives could be far simpler and free of excess worry if we frame what we do, what we say, who we marry, what we buy, what we eat - every decision - around this question: "Will this help me and others stand blameless before God on the last day and inherit eternal life?" -Joshua Hawkins

Do you know how noble a creature you are? So noble that the Trinity would enter into a new season; the second person of the Trinity—the Son of God—would assume human form and never lay it down again. At this very moment, a human sits at the right hand of God the Father Almighty.

We need a revelation of how glorious our human bodies are in God’s plan. We should promise ourselves that we will not say one single negative thing about our bodies. Every time we step in front of a mirror, we need to speak God’s truth - “I am fearfully and wonderfully made. God loves my human frame and has a good future for me. I’m determined, by faith, to walk in the dignity of one made in His image. I am going to make someone a wonderful wife or a wonderful husband. No longer will I give way to fear and condemnation, settling for something less than God’s full inheritance in my life. I am Hephzibah, the one in whom He delights! I am Beulah, the one He’s married to!” - Allen Hood

If my kingdom were of (from) this world, my servants would be fighting so that I would not be handed over to the Jews. But now my kingdom is not from here.” (John 18:36)

The secret to freedom from enslaving patterns of sin is worship. You need worship. You need great worship. You need weeping worship. You need glorious worship. You need to sense God’s greatness and be moved by it — moved by who God is and what He has done for you. -Timothy Keller
