Is. 40:2 “Speak comfort to Jerusalem… For she has received from the LORD’S hand double for all her sins.” Since God’s ways are consistent, consider the possibility that Jesus received double punishment on Calvary for our sins. The cross was not just barely enough payment, it was extravagant coverage. Double. More than satisfying to God. Uber satisfying. - Bob Sorge
