Millennialism was affirmed by John in Revelation and certainly became prevalent in the centuries following Jesus and the apostles, but "1000 years" is wrongly seen in modernity as something completely divergent from the framework of first century Jewish apocalyptic eschatology. - Joshua Hawkins
