Though God’s anger has been appeased presently toward those in Christ—that is, “We have peace with God” (Rom. 5:1; Eph. 2:13; Col. 1:20)—this present experience of peace with God is in anticipation of being saved “from the wrath to come” (1 Thess. 1:10; Rom. 5:9). -John P. Harrigan
